| U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Solomon Michel directs a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Sea Stallion helicopter as it approaches the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) during touch-and-go landing qualifications in the South China Sea on Oct. 29, 2009. The Harpers Ferry is part of the USS Denver (LPD 9) Amphibious Task Group, which is conducting fall patrol in the western Pacific Ocean with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
