| The American Flag, draped over the wall of the Pentagon by firemen and military personnel on the day after the Sept. 11th terrorist attack, is lowered on Oct. 11, 2001. The ceremonial lowering, exactly one month after the terrorist attack was performed by a team of U.S. Army soldiers from the Military District of Washington.
