The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

            Sgt. Chirasak Vidhyarkorn, 32, of Queens, N.Y., died Sept. 29 in Diwaniyah, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 142nd Field Artillery Regiment, Camp Shelby, Miss.

 

            The incident is under investigation.
