DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

Spc. Marko M. Samson, 30, of Columbus, Ohio, died May 31 in Tikrit, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 277^th Aviation Support Battalion, 10^th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10^th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.

 

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
