The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Cpl. Jeffrey G. Green, 20, of Dallas, Texas, was found deceased on May 5 in the Euphrates River, in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Cause of death is under investigation. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4^th Marine Regiment, 1^st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
